Jim and Dena Porter founded The Porter Company in 2011. Jim provides the technology expertise, while Dena focuses on App features and content. Since both have worked at big-five consulting firms, they understand the importance of being able to follow a scripted methodology on projects, which drives the central philosophy of all company activities.

After spending 20+ years in the IT industry, Jim has gone back to his programming roots, where he initially began his career working on military and commercial application development, to focus on mobile app and website development. Dena has been able to broaden her artistic background to learn the basics of graphic design. Both love working together as a team, and even their two young boys help out with providing user feedback on the iPad and iPhone apps.

The Porter Company is still in its infancy, and will hopefully continue to grow and expand over the coming year. We are eager for feedback and new ideas. We are looking forward to helping clients with designing and creating Android and iOS apps, and we are interested in working with others who share the same passion that we do for mobile application development and all of the possibilities it holds.
